Garmin Recognized with Two Embraer Supplier of the Year Awards
We were honored last month to be presented with two major awards at the 2015 Embraer Suppliers Conference in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil. The Brazilian aircraft manufacturer presented Garmin with Supplier of the Year honors in two categories: Material Support to Operations and Electro – Electrical Systems. These were the fifth and sixth awards taken home by Garmin since 2010.
“We are honored to be selected on behalf of Embraer to receive two Supplier of the Year awards and to be recognized for our company’s outstanding level of service and commitment to our product line,” said Carl Wolf, vice president of aviation marketing and sales. “At Garmin, we are determined to provide our aircraft partners with the most innovative avionics solutions, which are back by the best support in the industry. These awards are a testament to the hard work and dedication provided by the entire Garmin team.”
The Material Support to Operator category award acknowledges supply chain efforts in product quality, on-time reliability and aftermarket support as it relates to the G1000 Prodigy and G3000 Prodigy Touch Integrated Flight Decks in Embraer’s Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 aircraft respectively. The award received for Supplier of the Year in the Electro – Electrical Systems category highlights outstanding efforts among production line support, quality and on-time reliability of the supply chain.
Supplier of the Year recipients undergo stringent evaluation and are recognized as having shown outstanding performance, continuous improvement and increased customer satisfaction among all other suppliers and their respective categories. Nine award categories are presented and suppliers are considered among several attributes, including delivery, quality, flexibility and customer support. This year’s awards come on the heels of Supplier of the Year honors in 2010 and 2011 in the Electro – Electrical Systems category, in 2011 for Technical Support to Operators, and in 2014 in the Material Support – Aftermarket category.
