Garmin popping up on everyone’s lists

Astro_2 Ever since Sept. 18, 1985, when David Letterman showed his TV audience his first Top 10 list – "The Top 10 Things That Almost Rhyme With Peas" – people have loved ranking, revealing and debating just about everything under the sun.

And whenever those lists involve GPS technology, it’s a safe bet that you’ll find a familiar Garmin product being featured.

In addition to rattling off "A GPS Device for Every Budget" (see the post below), U.S. News & World Report came up with "Five Fresh Uses for GPS."

Not surprisingly, the Astro is featured prominently for its dog-tracking capabilities.

The Astro was also a big hit last week at Outdoor Retailer, where everyone was astounded that you could track up to 10 dogs at a time and know whether each was running, treeing or on point.

Nuvi200tilt Speaking of fresh uses, Men’s Health tells its readers how the nüvi 200 can help guys make a good impression and "Be Her Perfect Date." According to the article, "90 percent of women say a single vein-popping outburst can be a serious speed bump." They suggest that your attention should be on your date – not on worrying about finding your destination. (And just think, if you have a Bluetooth-enabled nüvi or StreetPilot, you can choose, find and call the restaurant of your choice and make reservations in a matter of seconds.)
