Yesterday was a busy day at Rockefeller Plaza! Garmin headed
to 30 Rock for a Father’s Day Camping Tech segment on the Today Show with Kathy
Lee and Hoda. Carley Knobloch, from Digitwirl, a blog dedicated to using
technology to simplify your life, compiled a list of some cool camping
technology to use this Father’s Day.
Featuring everything from LED lanterns, to glow-in-the-dark
toilet paper, to the Garmin eTrex 20, this segment gave some great options for
fun things to take camping with your dad. “The Garmin eTrex is a geotracking
device, it reaches satellites so works where your cell phone doesn’t.” Carley said on-air.

It looks like Carley, Kathy Lee and Hoda all had a great
time playing around with the different gadgets. Even though there aren’t very
many places to go camping in New York City, they can use their Garmin to find
their way to the nearest campsite!
