We are excited to announce the launch of a brand new Weather Radar Operations eLearning course. This eLearning course goes beyond weather radar Pilot’s Guides to help you improve your technique and maximize the benefits of the weather radar capabilities. It is a course to help you operate and interpret the displays across all phases of flight. When you complete this course, you will be capable of confidently performing tilt and range management functions while understanding how to analyze and interpret a weather radar display. You will also understand how to cross-reference NEXRAD radar and moving map displays to better understand the weather situation and make risk management decisions.
Learn at Your Own Pace
The eLearning course will introduce you to radar fundamentals, operational principles, industry and FAA standards, and operational considerations and techniques for all phases of flights. The course culminates with a scenario that highlights the use of the airborne weather radar in a real world setting. Conveniently, the course allows each user to pause, as necessary, and seamlessly resume the lesson. Additionally, you can re-take the entire course or specific lessons as often as you want during the subscription period.
