On board this 72-foot, four-stateroom vessel, the 72SC has an impressive suite of Garmin equipment, including four GPSMAP 5215 touchscreen MFDs (two in the wheel house, and two on the fly bridge), a GMR 404 open array radar, GHP 10 Auotpilot, VHF 200 marine radio, two GMI 10 marine instruments, a GSD 22 digital sounder, and a GWS 10 wind sensor. After a quick dockside orientation and walk-through, we headed out of the harbor where we were able to see the "big picture" on the bright, menu-drive touchscreen plotters. And with the radar overlay, navigating the busy waters was simple and intuitive. With the warm weather, calm seas, beautiful scenery and stunning yacht – complimented so nicely by the Garmin electronics – we'd chalk this up to a very successful day at sea. For now though, it's time to head home and start gearing up for the busy fall boat show season ahead!
