Garmin Goes Fishing

Camera_vert_1392_vert_2Fish_vert_1Console_horiz_2Hookset_horizWide_horizLast week we spent some time down on the U.S./Mexican border fishing for largemouth bass on Lake Amistad with Wade Middleton, the host of Fishing and Hunting Texas.  This is an amazing clear water fishery — we boated nearly 50 fish a day — catching them on everything from Senkos to crankbaits to Texas rigs.  The GPSMAP 398, GPSMAP 392, and Fishfinder 340 were essential in helping us to pinpoint bass hiding in structure and sticking close to their beds.  With the 392 and 398’s pre-loaded cartography, we were able to easily locate similar areas around the lake that were holding fish.  Look for the show to air later this year, but in the meantime, you can check out an earlier episode on using Garmin electronics to make your next trip on the water a success.
