Garmin expands its portfolio of business aviation solutions

NBAA2012_LogoThis week, the Garmin aviation team is in Orlando at the National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) convention, and we didn’t come empty handed. The show hasn’t even started yet (opening day is tomorrow), but we couldn’t keep the lid on our exciting new product announcements. This year, we’re continuing to expand our portfolio of business aviation solutions with new products like the GTS 8000 TCAS II and the GTX 3000 Mode S Transponder, both designed to meet the environmental and operational demands of transport category aircraft. These products will be standard equipment on several new aircraft platforms including the Cessna Citation Ten, Citation Latitude and Citation Longitude, the Bombardier Learjet 70 and Learjet 75, as well as future forward fit and upgrade programs.

Citation New Sovereign 001In other big news, our friends at Cessna Aircraft Company has just introduced the NEW Citation Sovereign. This popular business jet is being enhanced with improved performance and innovative new technologies, including a brand new cockpit with the Garmin G5000 integrated flight deck. This touchscreen-controlled system brings the most advanced and forward-thinking avionics technology to Sovereign owners, and we’re thrilled to partner with Cessna on this aircraft! If you’re going to be at the show and want to check it out, it will be on display tomorrow at NBAA.

Stay tuned to the Garmin blog for more news and scenes from the 2012 NBAA Convention!
