Yes, billions! As a matter of fact, there have been so many calories burned that it is currently the equivalent of over 59 million pounds of candy burned. You’ll even be able to set up your own social profile where you

It’s as easy as searching for friend’s names and asking permission to connect with them inside one of the largest social fitness communities in the World– Garmin Connect.

Here are a few accounts to check out: Triathlete Jenny Fletcher, Stand Up Paddler Jenny Kalmbach, Olympic Marathoner Desiree Davila, and Triathlete Lauren Goss to name just a few. In the coming weeks we’ll be adding to the Pro list and you’ll even be able to see up to date rides from Team Garmin riders.

For those of you who haven’t yet set up your free profile, to allow you take advantage of all these great features and to get the most out of your Garmin– what are you waiting for? If you don’t have an account, click here to create one. If you do, follow the steps below.

  1. Sign in to Garmin Connect
  2. Go to upper right corner and click on your display name
  3. Select “profile” from the drop down menu

Within your profile, you’ll be able to add a photo and other facts about yourself you might want others to know. Back up in that drop down

So remember, the next time you are browsing the internet and wondering if it really matters what Jane or John Doe had for dinner and why they posted it, swing on over to Garmin Connect and give a shout out to someone’s hard work. With the click of a button and a few comments you just might be helping someone get closer to their race goal, losing some extra pounds or simply staying healthy and active– because that’s what it’s all about.
