Garmin Chicago Store kicks off “Share Your Soles” shoe drive

Chicago shoes Inspired by our store window on North Michigan featuring suspended running shoes, the Garmin Chicago store is teaming up with Share Your Soles to collect running shoes from October 6, 2011, through November 2, 2011. The drive kicks off Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. at the Garmin Store – drop off your shoes in the pink bins and enjoy treats courtesy of Corner Bakery and Clif (treats provided from 7:30-9:30 a.m.).

Based out of Chicago, Share Your Soles is an official charity of the 2011 Chicago Marathon, who has distributed over 1.25 million shoes to impoverished people around the world since 1999. If you can’t make it to the Garmin Store during the drive, you can always drop off your shoes to one of the many locations across the Chicago-land area. Visit their website for more information.

Garmin understands the importance of proper running gear and Share Your Soles allows people all over the world to simply run. Your shoes may have seen many miles already, but the most rewarding could still come. For more information on this drive, call or stop by the Garmin Store.
