Garmin announces Connect IQ compatibility for Edge 520, 1000 and Explore 1000
We’re excited to announce Connect IQ is now compatible for Edge 1000, 520 and Explore 1000 users with recent software updates available now. With the Connect IQ store users can customize their ride experience with new data fields that are free to download and easy to configure to their preferences.
Free downloadable data fields available now in the Connect IQ store include the Specialized Turbo LEVO data field, muscle oxygen data fields from Moxy and BSX Insight, visual heart rate in zone, body fat, and a fully configurable dashboard for the Edge.
The Specialized Turbo LEVO data field allows cyclists to control their Turbo LEVO eBike directly from the Edge screen. For additional ease of use with their Turbo LEVO eBike, users can also pair the new Garmin eBike remote to raise or lower the current assistance level, scroll through data screens on the Edge, or engage a customized third option¹. With up to one-year battery life, the eBike remote even alerts users of operating status and low battery level for the remote and eBike¹ by flashing the central LED.
