BabyCam Drive 50

We’re happy to announce the new Garmin babyCam™ Bundle. The launch of the bundle combines the babyCam in-vehicle video baby monitor with the new Garmin Drive™ 50 USA LM auto navigator. Drivers receive turn-by-turn GPS route guidance, helpful driver alerts and an “on demand” view of their child right on the navigation display. The Garmin babyCam Bundle is being showcased in the Garmin booth (South Hall 4 #35811) at this year’s Consumer Electronics Show.

Drivers can wirelessly switch from the Garmin Drive 50’s navigation display to babyCam view to easily check on children while running daily errands. Thanks to its night vision, babyCam discreetly shows clear video of backseat passengers during daytime or night. After driving to a destination, a useful on-screen alert reminds drivers to check for passengers before exiting the vehicle. The Garmin babyCam can be easily mounted to a front- or back-seat headrest within minutes and positioned toward rear-facing or front-facing car seats.

Garmin is focused on helping users stay alert when driving, especially when traveling with a child. For this reason Garmin has introduced innovative driver alerts with the new Garmin Drive 50LM navigator. The driver alerts include upcoming sharp curves, school zones, fatigue warnings1, speed changes and many more. In addition, the navigator simplifies navigation to millions of new and popular places like shops and restaurants with preloaded points of interest from Foursquare®. It also includes spoken Garmin Real Directions™, which guides drivers using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights. For example, “In 500 feet, turn right at the stoplight.” The navigator conveniently displays places up ahead and milestones along a route without leaving the map view. Additionally, free lifetime map updates2 ensure that users always drive with the latest map data available.

The Garmin babyCam Bundle is expected to be available in January of 2016 with a suggested retail price of $349.99. The standalone Garmin babyCam is also expected to be available in January of 2016 with a suggested retail price of $199.99.

Notice: Some jurisdictions regulate or prohibit the use of the babyCam device. It is your responsibility to know and comply with applicable laws and rights to privacy in jurisdictions where you plan to use this device.

1The fatigue warning activates after longer periods of consecutive driving without any long stops along the route.

2Lifetime maps entitle you to receive map updates when and as such updates are made available by Garmin during the useful life of 1 compatible Garmin product or as long as Garmin receives map data from a third party supplier, whichever is shorter. For the meaning of a product’s “useful life” and for other important terms and conditions, please see Garmin.com/LM for details.
