Four in a row for Dave Zabriskie, Team Garmin’s Captain America

ZabriskieCeleb IMG_0114 Team Garmin had another amazing weekend. First, Tyler Farrar and his Vuelta a Espana teammates started the season's final grand tour on a high note when Tyler finished third in the rainy prologue. With a strong squad in Spain, the argyle armada is looking for more great results.

You couldn't ask for better results than Dave Zabriskie winning his fourth consecutive (and fifth overall) national time trial championship at the U.S. Pros. Zabriskie, known around the world for speeding through cities in his Captain America skinsuit, had talent and technology on his side. As shown in this photo taken by team physiologist Allen Lim, Dave loves his Garmin Edge 705 cycling computer. Here's the race report, as written by Zabriskie himself:

The US Pro championship is an important race for me. I love wearing the Stars and Stripes and am proud to wear it again next year. Mike Friedman had a great ride, too.

I didn’t use a radio today, just my Garmin and I knew Mike had set the fastest time for the first lap so I knew what I had to do. I watched my Garmin and when I went through the first time check I knew I’d been fast, so I kept digging after that!
It feels great to hold onto the stars and stripes and I’ll wear them again this year with pride!
