Nulink-services

PC World posted their review of the nüvi 1690, our newest automotive device that will be in stores in time for the holidays. Their conclusion was that “if you’re a fan of the Garmin navigation experience, the added nüLink! connected services will only enhance the experience.” In case you’re not familiar with nüLink! yet, it’s our new real-time data service that gives access to real-time traffic, fuel prices, weather, Google local search, white pages and more. You get all this nüLink! content for free for the first two years. Another cool, new feature is being able to send destinations and waypoints wirelessly to the nüvi. Let’s say you’re visiting NYC from California and someone from home wants you to visit your long lost aunt in NYC. By simply going through myGarmin, they can send you the street address wirelessly and your aunt’s address will appear in your to the nüvi’s favorites folder. You’ll never need to connect your 1690 to your computer to transfer waypoints again.
