Farm Sledding with Jessie Morris and Garmin VIRB

She’s a travel addict, Pacific Northwest adventurer, snowboarder, and photographer. When Jessie Morris isn’t out exploring, she spreads her love and passion for the outdoors, doing so with the help of social media. Just recently her travels took her to Ohio, where Jessie describes her latest outdoor adventure at a family farm over the holidays.

“Most Christmases we head there to spend time with family, soaking up the peace and quite the solitude of a farm provides. While I love a good, outlandish adventure as much as the next travel-addicted person, sometimes nothing quite beats taking it back to simple times and realizing the joy that life puts right in front of you.

Fortunately, the area had been doused with snow leaving a good, fresh layering of white as far as the eye could see. And what do you do when you’re in the middle of nowhere surrounded by fresh snow?? Sledding!!

Seeing snow and sleds through my young niece’s eyes was priceless and sliding down a hill on an inter-tube will bring you back to childhood like no other. Two things I learned? With fresh power, its best to send someone down first to set the track. And two, make sure that track doesn’t end with a metal gate. No, but really, spending quality time with family away from the high demands of our daily lives can cure just about any stress.”

Jessie captured all her sledding fun with her Garmin VIRB and you can watch all the action below. Don’t forget to follow Jessie’s travels here. Let Jessie’s backyard adventure motivate you to get outside and enjoy the winter weather. Adventure is truly knocking at your back door.
