Bicycling Magazine suggests Dakota 20 for testing the trails
With the bike-specific Edge 500 and Edge 705 computers showing up frequently in top cycling publications, it was fun to see one of our rugged outdoor handhelds get some love in the latest issue of Bicycling Magazine. Pocket-sized and easy to use with its "intuitive touchscreen display," Dakota 20 made the list of top 5 necessities for off-road adventures. Two of Dakota's features are key to traveling on the trails. The high-sensitivity GPS receiver provides "pinpoint location fixing even in heavy foliage. And the built-in barometer can alert you to changing weather conditions." Editors also point out that Dakota's versatile mapping options help you "plot a longer route (or an early exit) with optional topo maps." And the magazine reminds readers that their day's work will live on long after the sun sets. "Carry this versatile digital tool in your pack or on the optional bike mount and, once home, upload your data to Garmin Connect."
We couldn't have said it better ourselves. To learn more about Dakota 20, visit our online learning center at Garmin.com and check out our video tutorials.
