Best States to Bike this Summer

New Mexico

Biking season is upon us and the United States has some beautiful places to explore. Stretch your legs this summer with a ride on vacation or find a competition out of state. Make sure to map out your new paths with one of our Edge cycling computers too. Here are just a few of our favorite places you can explore in the United States:

Colorado – It’s one of the more picturesque states to get a challenging ride in, especially with the higher elevations. With the Rocky Mountains comes a great place to measure a big climb on your bike.

New Mexico – Another spectacular place to train, New Mexico gives you some gorgeous views of the desert and mountains. There are also long stretches where you can pedal hard on flat land. For some of the best views in the state, look to places like Carlsbad Caverns National Park

Vermont

Washington – This state is known for being one of the more bicycle friendly states in the country. Washington boasts scenic views from Mount Rainier to the San Juan Islands. Also, you will be able to explore different intervals of speed and terrain here.

Vermont – This beautiful state has plenty of places to ride including the Burlington Bike Path that follows the Adirondack Mountains. If you want a longer path as well, the Lake Champlain Bikeways take you through the trees of the Granite State and connects you to New York and Canada.
