I recently bought a Garmin nuvi for my wife, prior to her taking a 6 hour drive to Philadelphia to visit colleges with our daughter. Neither are used to such long drives, or have any familiarity with the area. I pre-programmed addresses for their hotel, and both college sites. They found everything with few problems, and even programmed a local Starbucks address into "Favorites" category after their first visit for easy recall the next day. Cost of nuvi…$250.00, 2 caramel lattes….$7.25, secure feeling of never being lost….priceless.
I also recently brought the nuvi along on business trip to Orlando…very easy to use, quickly recalculated my route when construction detours got in the way, and stress free…. a great travel tool.
