AirVenture Oshkosh: A little something for everyone
Even though EAA AirVenture Oshkosh wrapped up on Sunday, it’s still top-of-mind. We had a great show and our customers have told us they did too. This was the first time the general public could interact with the newly certified G600 retrofit panel, and based on their reactions the G600 is another home run. We’ve already started shipping the G600 to authorized dealers, so if you’re interested in learning more you should check out our website or contact your authorized Garmin dealer.
Obviously Oshkosh is the place to be for pilots, but did you know thousands of non-pilots also attend the show. There are 800-plus booths at Oshkosh and many of them are focused on non-aviation-related activities. Harley-Davidson, John Deere, and Ford are just a few of the companies that were showing vehicles that don’t have wings and propellers. John Deere and Ford even set up test-drive courses so customers could check out the bells-and-whistles on new mowers and trucks. Unfortunately, this blogger didn’t get a chance to test either because the Garmin booth was always busy, but don’t worry, there’s always Oshkosh ’09!
