2018 Airshow Guide: EAA AirVenture Oshkosh

Aviation’s family reunion is nearly here. Pilots and enthusiasts from all corners of the earth are preparing for their visit to the greatest aviation celebration, and we wouldn’t miss it for the world. Here’s what to expect July 23-29, 2018:

New Avionics

This year marks the Oshkosh debut of our new TXi series touchscreen flight displays, a versatile upgrade solution featuring configuration options for Primary Flight Display, Multi-Function Display and Engine Information Systems. We’re also showcasing our latest ADS-B solutions including low-cost options such as GTX 335/345 transponders and our GDL 82 ADS-B Out only remote datalink. Retrofit autopilots continue to be a trending topic in general aviation, and we’ll have both our GFC 500 and GFC 600 cost-effective retrofit options on display.

One Week Wonder

We’re thrilled to be a part of the second-ever One Week Wonder project where thousands of volunteers unite over a seven-day period to complete a Vans RV-12iS. This year we’re partnering with EAA and providing our latest Team X experimental avionics built around dual G3X Touch flight displays. Stop by the One Week Wonder exhibit along Celebration Way during the show to learn how to buck a rivet, wire avionics, and gain the experience needed to build an experimental aircraft.

One-on-One Training

New for 2018, we’re introducing one-on-one training sessions for the GTN 650/750 touchscreen navigator and the G1000 NXi integrated flight deck during the show. These 20-minute sessions will be held from 2:30-4:30 every day at the Garmin exhibit. Sign up information will be available at the information desk in the middle of the Garmin exhibit at AirVenture.

Product Seminars

Our award-winning training and product support teams plus sales team will be on-site to provide in-depth product seminars and hands-on training. G3X Touch TeamX Academy returns to offer guidance on the installation and operation of our popular flight displays for experimental aircraft. Seminars will also feature a range of avionics from Garmin Pilot, to advanced ADS-B solutions and our latest TXi series. Full seminar schedule:
